Free Apps That Keeps Files In Order
April 23rd, 2010
The first app that I have found that helps me with my files is Sync Butler: Automatically Syncs Recent Files to USB Drives. This is a Windows app that syncs the changes to files on your desktop. laptop and syncs them to your USB drive. Yes there are web based file syncing apps and those that will allow you to sync over a network. I put this tool to use in keeping my USB drive update with changes to web apps I am working on. I like the wow factor when you walk in a room and “borrow” a local laptop to present your changes on your development site. All running on a 32 gb USB drive. Next I use NoteSync: This Is a Lightweight Note-Taker that Syncs with Google Docs, works for WIndows, MAC and Linux. I have installed this on my desktop, laptop and a few desktops that I use in my Charity work. I of course place notes in them that I do not want to write down in my business journal. Websites that I come across, Thoughts that may make another project more effective or efficient. Thanks to those hackers @ LifeHacker.
